This volume is the most boring one for me so far. There is a whole lot of talking and barely any action. Instead of more Tanya pov, we get a tons of the enemies pov's. Kinda sucks. This volume make Tanya feel like some insignificant side character being send back and forth without able to do anything important.

Also i get the feeling Tanya IQ has been dropping in this volume. Maybe war is making her weary, but it seems like she isn't picking up things as fast as she use to. She constantly get shocked by facts lay out in front of her by others. And hear i though she major in HRM.

Instead of moving the war machine with her idea's like the previous volumes, it seems more like now she is being drag by her superiors to put out fires. At least in every previous volumes her idea's or actions has dealt significant damage to other nations and bolster the Empire war machine. But this volume feel like she is in the background.

I know next volume would be about Tanya playing a major role in securing a victory and this volume is like a set-up for the next book,but i still would have prefer it if Tanya at least play some role in the planning stages and not just be clueless and sitting on the side lines hoping her superiors can come up with a good plan.
