What keeps you coming back for more?

Amazon was pretty much an instant hire for me when I get laid off my previous job. They kept me afloat. I wanted to go the I.T route with Amazon, but didn’t have the money to get my Bachelors Degree. So I left after 13-14months to join the Army. I hated working at Amazon, but like everyone else there, I needed to make a living. And seeing how I didn’t have a Bachelors Degree or any real marketable job skills, my career outlook was not looking good.

there was a time when I wanted to move up at Amazon, and even applied for T3 / L4 positions, but was never selected or even interviewed. I realized then, there was no future at Amazon, so I joined the Army. I’m now a Signal Support Specialist in a Special Operations unit dealing with all things radio, satellite and I.T. Best decision I ever could have made, seeing that Amazon would never have given me all the opportunities, schools and certifications the Army has.
