What keeps you up at night?

The fact that I am technically directly connected to a random rhino in Africa, and the only reason why I couldn't just get up and go there is because of logistical limitations.

That rhino is definitely somewhere out there, near a bush or something, eating grass, grazing or just living, and I could touch it if I could bridge that gap between us. The only thing separating us is just lots of space, but we are touching eachother directly because of all the concatenated air between us, or just obstacles. There's technically no void between us like in space.

That being said, the same way that hypothetical rhino exists as a definite, aliens also exist, and are doing things right now. There are probably aliens on other planets fighting in great wars, making music we can never listen to, but would change the way we thing or saw the world if we could, writing books etc. and their language would be equally as hard to learn as Chinese or Arabic to an English speaker. How would their language change your personality if you understood it? Could you ever understand it or maybe our brains are unable to conceive it because that language has physical and evolutionary prerequisites to entertain it such as apathy or an additional part of the brain like a second frontal lobe.

So yeah, my brain goes places sometimes.
