What do you like to read or watch or whatever?

I listen mostly to instrumental music or music with choirs singing in other languages. I'm not a music snob or anything like that, I just don't enjoy music with lyrics because when it has words, all I can focus on are the words. I then proceed to pick apart whatever is being said, only to miss the beauty of it all. Overall, I don't really listen to music that often. However, when I do, I like to have a good pair of headphones and silent room in which to do it. Or listen to it live. I don't know why. In fact, I either drive around with my radio off or on NPR.

As far as non-Orthodox reading, I mostly just read what my friends are reading. A number of my friends are teachers and they always seem to have interesting suggestions. Right now I am reading The Republic by Plato because a friend of mine is going to teach it this year in his high school rhetoric course. He asked me a few others to read it first so that we could talk about it with him before the lessons start.

My favorite movies of all time are Galaxy Quest, The Quiet Man, and Apocalypse Now. In general, I skew more towards comedies and action. I hate horror films. I never watch them.
