What is love?

I am an asexual. In my community, there are many varied experiences of what love is. One element of it that you might find interesting is the Split Attraction Model. This came about because many asexuals noticed that although they did not feel sexual attraction, they still felt romantic love. And some people felt neither, but would still form bonds with people that were beyond friendship.

There are sexual attraction, romantic attraction, aesthetic attraction, platonic attraction and more besides that.

All of these can develop into love.

I, even as someone asexual have felt a deep love for the people around me. Love is powerful and uniting, and it does not matter what form that takes.
