What major accomplishment of yours went completely unrecognized?

At my previous job, I headed up the design and implementation of proper, modern off-site backup and disaster recovery systems after an IT director was terminated due to a serious data loss when a server failed. This was a ground up look at every byte of data that was stored in the enterprise, prioritizing it all, sometimes battling with department heads to reduce their footprint with more efficient methods, etc, etc... Our goal was to bring up a functioning, current version of our company HQ's network and put it on the web within 24 hours of the theoretical event. We wanted to achieve that goal within the first year of starting the work.It was the majority of my work for that year, and we made the goal. On the night of our successful test, I worked for 19 straight hours to make it happen. My Boss's part in the DR test was to sit in the corner with a book and ask periodically how things were going. He fetched us coffee and lunch and did things like make test calls when we asked him to. Nothing even remotely critical to the effort.

The next day my boss sent an email to the owners, VP's, upper management telling them how he and his team had accomplished that goal. He didn't throw me any credit or even mention that I'd been involved in the project. VP's replied all thanking my boss for his hard work, congratulating him and suggesting that he take Friday off to go fishing. I never got one gram of attaboy from anybody. I resolved that day to quit that place, although I didn't actually get out for another couple years. Not a lot of good IT jobs where I am.
