What makes you feel lucky to live in NYC?

I do well and make a shitload of money.

I grew up here. Competitive schools and the fact that you can work in pretty much any industry means you get pushed pushed pushed. I grew up in the projects in East NY and went to a shit public school, but luckily, unlike the fucking dipshits at my school who are mostly in prison now, my small group of friends and I drove each other. Most of us went to Stuy Bronx Sci Tech

I ended up going to Columbia after, then Stern, then I worked in finance for a bit, then engineering.

If I grew up in the projects or poor ANYWHERE ELSE, I feel like I would just have been stuck there.

Unfortunately, far left woke fucks (im sure a lot of you are here) somehow consider ENTRANCE EXAMS into COMPETITIVE SCHOOLS to be "rAcIsT". If it weren't for these exams, I wouldn't have finally gone to a school where I am driven by other students striving to succeed, and not having to stop in the middle of every class because a fight broke out.
