What makeup product are you resisting the urge to buy due to its "hype?"

I've purchased a few of the lip kits too and I've had the opposite experience. 4/4 of the lipkits I have are drying like the Sahara. Spice is so bad that it literally peels off my lips as if it's paper. That's ONE layer of it lol. The rest are super drying. I only continue to use and like Pumpkin because I adore the shade but it is drying. The lip liners can't sharpen without the entire lead inside the pencil loosening up and getting slidey so you have to make sure the lead doesn't ever slide out-- that's for ALL four of the lip liners I have. So ultimately, although the colors are really nice, I really don't think it's worth $40 for a liquid lipstick. First of all liquid lipsticks usually don't even need lip liner if you know how to apply if correctly, and sometimes I still use lip liners but the thing is you don't need it, so in my opinion I just don't think $40 for a liquid lipstick is worth it, especially when there's so many mixed reviews on the quality. I genuinely HATE my lipkits, and although it's fine if you like them, I personally tell everyone who asks me about whether they're worth it that theyre better off buying a Kay Von D or ABH or Stila one for only $20--all super reliable formulas that you can swatch at the store-- as opposed to wasting $40 on Kylie's Colored Sandpaper Lipkits lmao. But I guess YMMW, so it's great that for you they were worth the money!
