I saw this long Pew Research analysis (I’m almost done pooping so I’m not now) about how European nations understood changing their economic situation
A lot seem to think implementing decarbonization wont make many people substantially poorer
Of course… that’s just not true. Even the most dreamy eyed solutions are trillions to essentially clean up a mess. Best case scenario we dumpster whatever trillions of current infrastructure, make a few trillion more in stuff that’ll be temporary and then we won’t die
If they want to change up their economic system then sure but I imagine if we do… once we all come out the other side we’ll just associate being poor with being non capitalist
