What misconceptions about baseball bother you the most?

Folks like to feel that they are in solidarity with the players. The difficult truth is that the interests of the players and the interests of the fans do not always align. In my opinion, the fans who wax poetic about how a salary cap is wrong, how they’d rather a millionaire have it than a billionaire, are misguided. I couldn’t care less if Mike Trout has a $400 million dollar contract or a $350 million dollar contract. If, as a fan, you are pro labor, you should be advocating for higher minimum salaries, tighter rules around service time, and minor leaguer compensation. The median big leaguer probably spends less than a year in the majors, yet they work their whole lives to get there. They should be compensated fairly. The lack of salary cap mostly helps the players that are already high earners.
