What MMORPG's have you guys been playing recently?

When you strafe in Aion the camera is no longer centred on your character.

I don't quite get what you mean, or rather, why this is a problem. Having a stable camera while you fight is nicer than having it swing all over the place. And it still always resets to centre when moving any other directions or letting go of the right mouse button. Aions combat involves lots of moving and jumping and animation interrupting, so I don't get why this is a negative.

Show me where this feature causes a problem.

If you rotate the camera while moving with W and then jump, your character turns to the direction the camera is facing

Yes, so you can change direction extremely fast. Again, how is this a downside?

There is nothing wrong with L2's camera

Right click is needed to pan. Right click also zooms the camera right in to the back of your characters head. This means if you ever want to make a small camera adjustment, the game will often register it as just a click, and completely disorientate you by snapping in real close. The camera frequently bugs out on geometry. Strafe next to a tree and enjoy the view as your camera snaps in and out repeatedly as the camera refuses to work near any level geometry. Including buildings, which can make all game models and textures disappear if they get at all between your character and your camera.

the camera has nothing to do with the game being click to move.

Actually is does, because not being able to move constantly in one direction, and look in another, is a extremely useful feature. God forbid you have to navigate around a small piece of geometry. Watch as your might warrior is stumped by the small rock, completely confused as to how to navigate around it. Frantically you click in tiny little circles, leading your character around this might obstacle, the whole time of which you are stuck looking in one direction.

Feel free to not like Aion, but don't pretend the game has flaws that don't exist. You played it for 15 minutes and judged it only on aesthetics. You then ironically choose an even older and uglier and clunkier game to play. Makes no sense.
