What is the most absurd thing you've seen a grown person throw an absolute tantrum over?

( I used to work in a department/grocery store, in the electronics/photolab department.

The photo kiosks, that customers would use to order photos, (you could plug in your phone and upload photos to print) would have the customers crop photos if the dimensions weren't quite right. (Sometimes they didn't match up to a 4x6/5x7) A lot of customers hated it, but it's the way the system was designed and wouldn't let you print without doing it. And you'd maybe have to crop a tiny bit off, nothing too major. )

It was during a shift change, when I had just gotten in to work. (So the two coworkers on first were still there. While me and the second, second shifter, were just getting started) And a woman demanded help on a kiosk.

So, I went to help her and she was livid. She had to crop her photos but, she didn't want to. I apologised and explained that there wasn't a way to work around it. And showed her how it only needed a little bit off since, the dimensions weren't quite right. She had a lot of photos, and I offered to help her with each one.

She called me stupid and demanded someone else help her. So after my 3 other coworkers explained to her the same thing, she still didn't believe us and decided not to get photos, but just a DVD instead. (You could get a DVD of your files as well.)

After finishing her DVD, making sure everything was all good on our end (making sure the files were there and what not). I went to hand her her order, and she looked at me and said "I demand a manager."

The manager came over and she started saying how I was incompetent and lied to her about having to crop photos. So it was "all my fault" she didn't get to order pictures. And that I didn't let her check her DVD before I handed it to her (which what? She had every right to plug the DVD into the kiosk if she wanted to. Even before she paid? I wouldn't have stopped her.) She demanded I be fired.

The manager told her that she'd handle it, and the woman left. Afterwards, the manager asked me and my coworker what happened. My coworker told the manager the whole story, that I did everything right and yes, you do have to crop photos, there's no way around it.

Everytime I saw this woman after this. She always had SOMETHING to complain about. Made me wonder what was going on in her life that she had to take it out on us retail drones.
