What is the most accurate stereotype?

I work as a NOC operator at a tech company in the health industry. Here are the stereotypes of different IT positions that I've witnessed based off my experience with this company:

  • Programmers/developers- code well, but can't handle basic computer problems because they don't know basic troubleshooting or basic IT infrastructure knowledge

  • Linux Sysadmin- pompous, lazy, try to write new SOPs for lower level technicians so that they'll do the work, volatile attitude, usually lied about experience to get the job, usually the first to get laid off because the Engineers don't them with decent admin work (I say all this as a Linux fan)

  • Network Admin- very knowledgeable, happy to mentor, but too passive aggressive/socially awkward to admit that they hate the company and want to leave

  • Engineers- godlike knowledge, hard workers, but very snippy under pressure and usually are unaware that they're being raging assholes

  • IT management- polite but aloof, usually failed upwards into management after working Apple support until their band/novel/screenplay/webcomic fell through, cares about his/her employees but always puts through dumb SOPs that range from useless to counterproductive, VERY passive aggressive

  • IT Security- never seen or heard, but always there

  • NOC Operators- the old ones complain about everything and are generally toxic, the new ones love being paid $40K to do spreadsheet work and reset passwords while watching Netflix at work and are generally lazy, the good ones study for certs and try to get Systems/Network Admin jobs

  • Help Desk- very polite, handle web application issues well, usually try to dump their work onto the NOC operators
