maybe petty but, Friends leave their trash at my place all the time I have 3 trash cans in plain sight in my room and yet they leave bottles, bags, food wrappers, dishes out on surfaces, the floor and leave without a care

Sometimes I pick up the trash and gather it in a bag and try to hand it to the on the way out with a plain "oh yeah, here ya go"

And I just don't understand the dumb blank looks I get

They've even looked at it, seen it's theirs, waved a hand "oh I don't need it", turn and leave, trash still in my hand, outstretched

Maybe it's me, maybe I'm not direct, but it's strange coming from a group of friends who's common reaction to being a guest and having trash would be an anxious "oh, scuse me, where is the/do you have a trash can?" or simply "uh where can i toss this??" better yet, being too shy to ask and frantically scanning a room for a trash All thing's we've all done, naturally

But when its my place, courtesy is out? K.
