I know human tribalism isn't new by any means, but it feels as if we've culturally agreed that it isn't acceptable to have a differing opinion anymore.

Perfect example: I personally believe that, scientifically, there are only two genders. You can be a man or a woman. Either you have a dick or you have a vagina. Period. A lot of people disagree with me on that one, and that is their right. I'm not suggesting people should live their lives differently, or that they do not have a right to be treated respectfully. If you are physically a man but prefer to be addressed as a woman or any combination thereof, that's perfectly fine. You have that right as a free individual. Yet despite this, I often get people jumping down my throat, calling me homophobic and any number of other accusations...

I'm not even going to get into the nature of political affiliation in the U.S. today, but I feel very similarly about it.
