What was the most you ever one from a lottery ticket, and what did you use the money for?

I haven't talked about it to anyone before but my fear is that the idea would be stolen as soon as I discuss. The best would be to patent it but that is an expensive process as well.

As far as my profile goes, I work for a bank and execute business-tech programs. I am doing well for myself but have the urge to take my idea forward.

I don't mind sharing my idea with you bcos it hasn't anyway gotten anywhere far. The idea is that just like how one is able to buy a recharge for a prepaid mobile connection from anywhere like a 7/11, one should also be able to buy an electric charge for their phone at such convenience. This means two things: 1. Have a small device designed carefully, which can be picked up from a retail place like 7/11 and immediately attached to a phone to charge it and use the phone as this small external power supply charges it. 2. A service whereby after buying this device he first time (for a one time value) it can be subsequently exchanged at a 7/11 for a very small price like 50c. Basically there would be cash flows from the first time sale of these power pods and a trickle commission from each exchange. Each device would have the ability to only be charged by a designated charger which the 7/11 (or other) retailer would have and after a certain number of metered charges the devices would stop working and could be exchanged for a new one by topping up. The retailer would get a commission off the first sale and would be able to buy from us designated number of charges which he can resell to the consumer by exchanging the power pod. The background is that as phones and batteries get smarter they also consume more power and the gap will always exist. Especially in countries like India, Africa, etc where access to power charging itself is tough these power pods could become a lifeline for people. The most important part is to have a power pod which is small enough to provide a quick and large charge to the phone. The money I need is essentially for: 1. Getting a team together to design the product. 2. Patenting the product and service.

As soon as a prototype is ready we could approach investors for higher funding. The ideal combination would be when any phone company sells a phone they bundle with it our product and it should work the same way across countries. We will eventually make money from every charge that the retailer refills because we would have sold him those charges prepaid.

I live in Singapore and have seen people scampering for mobile charge here (Sgp) as well as developing countries like India. I did a plan earlier and my estimate is I need 1 million as seed funding to get it going.
