What was the most frightening thing to ever happen in your home?

Single guy: I was a little tipsy one night, stumbled into my china cabinet, broke the glass and noticed I had a big gash in my arm. Kinda freaked out and decided to drive to the ER. Passed out in the ER after I looked at all the blood on my shirt (I had intentionally avoided looking at my wound while driving). Doc sewed it up and said the cut was just a few millimeters away from a major artery. Doc asked me if I had had anything to drink and I said "a few beers". He said that's not what I wanted to hear because I couldn't let you go if so. I said "well, I've not been drinking then", and he let me go. Leaving the hospital in my gown I noticed I was nearly empty on gas. I put my blood soaked shirt on (because I guess I thought a hospital gown would look stupid and a half red, half white shirt would not) and drove to the nearest gas station. Luckily at 2 am no one noticed a blood covered man pumping gas and called the police.
