Obese dad failed med school and mom’s been funding him and his stay-at-home lifestyle for 30 years of marriage. He takes credit for being the breadwinner when in fact he hasn’t had a job or earned money all his life. She basically took care of us kids growing up while he’s been emotionally abusive and manipulating everyone through guilt. He refuses to leave the house and is racist towards the people in the country I’m from.

He’s hit both me and her and done things to spite us. His worst fear is leaving the house because he’s morbidly fat and doesn’t want anyone from the community to see him.

Any time I’d argue with him as a kid he would invalidate my feelings by saying I’m only siding with my mom and would not allow me to go out and have fun. I ended up picking up a lot of fear and guilt and shame from this mindset that I’m still trying to be aware of and learn from til this day. (I’m in my late twenties).
