I'm sad I found this thread so late...so many stories!

• My grandfather was apparently known to molest my aunts. After he and my grandmother divorced my mom (the baby) wasn't allowed to see him till she was old enough to know better.
• My grandfather tried to kill my grandmother in a drunken rage after she threw him out. My uncle pushed him at the last minute and he missed his shot. It hit the headboard and the bullet was lodged in it. My grandmother kept the headboard for many years.
• My grandmother, aunts and uncles all ran drugs in NYC to make ends meet. Nothing hardcore but lots and lots of pot. Grandma ran the books and nearly everyone else sold. I didn't find this out till I was an adult but it triggered a memory of my grandmother and I walking down the street in NYC...she stopped dead in her tracks in a crosswalk, walked caddy corner across the intersection to pick up a bag she saw...of weed.
• My mother was apparently cheating on my father for at least close to a year before they divorced
• My sister claims to have been raped by a cousin of ours. No one knows if its true since she's got all sorts of mental health problems.
• My grandfather had an affair and hada baby out of wedlock. He took the baby home to my grandmother and tried to make her raise her. This was right before he threw her out.
• Grandparents on my fathers side are devoutly Jehovahs Witnesses. The amount of dirt swept under their rugs is astounding...everything from disowning children who left the church to multiple marriages (in some cases to the same person) to all kinds of strange stories regarding religion.

I could go on but this is likely going to be buried anyway.
