What was the most petty thing an adult did to you, when you were younger?

I played town Pop Warner football as a kid, junior high age, grade 6 through 8. My father wasn't particularly liked by the coach, and he wasn't part of the 'Dad Clique' on any team sport I played.

Before each game, the coach picked two players to be Captains that day. At one game he said "Okay, who hasn't been captain yet, raise your hand." I stood there, in front of all my teammates and friends at age 13, the ONLY ONE with my hand raised high and an eager smile on my face, only to have him glance my way, look past me, point at two others and say "Okay. Let's have Mike and Steve be our Captains today."

Don't know if this was the most petty thing, but it's up there.
