What is the most ridiculous thing a healthcare professional has told you?

i was around 11 when this happened, so i can't remember everything, but i had an irregular period - 1 month of intense bleeding, one week of not having my period. it was torture and i hated it, but it took over a year to have fixed.

there were the doctors that said it was just because i was young. i didn't care, i was bleeding for one month straight, i needed some damn help!

after i found a doctor who would help me, she refused to put me on birth control, instead she wanted to put me on something a bit "less than birth control" that she said should help me. the pills were huge and they DIDNT WORK. she still refused to give an 11 year old birth control, as if i had birth control i was immediately gonna go impale myself on a dick? i was very obviously finished with physical puberty at the time, so i don't know what her reasoning was

finally, i find a nice old lady obgyn who put me on the simplest birth control you can find, and my problem was fixed. but it took a year because of how old i was coupled with the kind of problem it was. the whole thing was horrible
