What was the most sadistic thing you did as a child?

Less sadistic, more curious... Well you judge.

Idk if they have them in the cars now, but my dad used to tell us never to touch the button on the dashboard near the windshield. I guess it controlled the windshield wipers or something. It's not the dashboard itself, but rather the top where the plastic meets the windshield - aka where people rest their feet on usually.

Anyways he told us never to press it or the car would explode and my brother believed it. Something was telling me "This isn't true, why would he leave you in a car alone with a button this tempting?"

So I started playing with it and my brother started getting upset. In this particular day, he left us in the car for a second to lock the door (ac on of course) I was about 8, and my bro's 2 years behind me. So I would poke at it but never press it, just play around it and move my finger close. My brother then started crying in fear that I was going to kill us with no parents around to stop me.

Then I just fucking pressed it. I dont remember what happened, but my brother was yelling for my dad as he was coming back to the car and then he stopped crying when he realized we werent dead.

So then I thought "maybe it doesnt blow up fast" so my dad comes back in the car and ask why my brother is crying and I got in trouble for pressing it. But my dad never lied to me again about stuff like that. I just wanted to know how it worked, and why I never heard of any other kids saying that at school or why cars just don't blow up on the road.
