What is the most “Saul” thing you’ve ever done?

Back in college I worked at a diner to pay for my own rent and expensives. I needed one Sunday off for a school commitment. I was running an event for an organization I was part of and my mother and sister were visiting. I asked off in advanced for the day but was told no, that was too busy a day and the whole town would be crazy. I knew I'd be fired for not showing up and figured that my back was against the wall and if they fire me they fire me. I'll have to find another job.

Only a few hours after the event the stress starts to sink in and on the drive back I notice a store I never noticed before and get a quick idea. It's a store where you can buy medical equipment. Wheelchairs, crutches, etc. I run in and buy a pair of crutches for $30. Tell the store owner my situation and that I plan to fake an injury for a few days. He advises me to say it's an outside sprain which heals in days. Go in Monday morning with a story that I twisted my foot being stupid Saturday night, woke up and my roommate took a look at my foot and took me to the hospital. Sorry I missed my shift I'm an idiot. I got to keep my job.

One thing that sucked though is I live on campus and my diner is 24 with over 200 students so for 3 days I used crutches on my giant campus. Damn do you then realize how uneven the ground is and do your armpits hurt!
