I work at a bank and one day my coworker was working on this weird situation. A bank worker at a different branch in a different state had accidentally ordered checks for a specific customer but put the wrong account number on the checks.

All other info was correct on the front of the checks, but account number was actually one our regular customers accounts. So this individual thought they were writing checks to pay their rent and bills, but the money was not clearing their account (it was instead coming out of our regulars account).

As my coworker is explaining the situation he shows me the images of the incorrect checks. They belonged to my baby sister who lives in another state.

It was so strange.
