Well when the formula is ‘men are bad and they will hurt you, oh wait mr can’t-possibly-exist wont’ I can see why certain types of women can’t get enough of them. or ‘omg I’m a solid 4 workaholic with horse teeth but mr amazing still wants me even with my insane character flaws(one specific hallmark, not a generalization)’

The solid 4 was no shit, exactly the plot. I’m not even trying to be funny on the second one. I’ve sat thru ‘a lot’ of these and I hate it but it pays off later. But Jesus, that one by far wins the award for least effort all around. It’s not the genre, it’s the overall low effort, writing, and production that bugs me.
