I wrote an article on endings of movies I thought were very good. I included the ending that I thought was the best. I wrote the article about two years ago. At this point, I would add the ending of "Sound of Metal" to it. Terrific ending. Ruben moves on from Lou and starts to accept what has happened to him. In those last moments, he finds the stillness Joe was talking about. Real nice ending to the movie. Ok, here is the article I wrote on movie endings plus a still from the ending of "Sound of Metal":
