What non destructive things do you do to release your anger?

This isn’t “something I do” but just a mentality I’ve espoused for many years now. It’s that no matter how angry you’d want to be over some trivial thing, you’re just an insignificant speck in another insignificant speck of the universe.

I know it sounds almost negative to a degree, but the inspiration is actually from Carl Sagan’s “Pale Blue Dot.”.

Sagan notes how Earth, viewed from a great distance in space, is just a pale blue dot in the middle of a sea of void, of nothingness. In it is the collective history of the human race — every war, every tragedy, every triumph and discovery.

Years ago I learned from Sagan’s words and adopted them to daily life. If ever something so petty makes me angry or outraged, I simply think and wonder how meaningless it is compared to the entirety of human history. And when you see how the Earth (and our collective whole as a species) looks so small and insignificant, you realize nothing trivial should ever make you angry.
