I work at a place that has a sheltered deck wrapping around two sides of the building. We share the building with a small theater, which piles their props and stuff all over their part of the porch. That part of the porch has become a big jumble of couches, toilets, pieces of modular stage, etc.
It also is a great place for folks without a home to rest or seek shelter from rain or whatever.
One afternoon, as I was leaving, I noticed some movement in the pile. I first thought it might be a feral cat (since there are a few that live under the building), but then I realized that it was the tocqued head of a man. He was reclining against a pile of cushions, facing away from me, with the top of his head visible over the pile.
I continued to walk toward him, as the exit was beyond where he was seated.
As I got closer, I noticed that he was kind of wiggling or nodding, and I thought that it seemed very much like he was masturbating.
Just as this thought manifested, I cleared the side of the cushions, allowing me to see him in profile.
Turns out that there was another person involved -- an older woman whom I have seen many times walking near our place of business. I recognized her by her wild, bleached hair, rather than by her face, which was being forced down into the man's lap area.
He was doing some kind of vigorous up-and-down thing, but holding her head rather than himself.
The level of enthusiasm that they both seemed to be displaying gave me the impression that this was at least consensual, if not enjoyable for both parties. I truly hope that this impression was correct.
However, I did NOT confirm this impression any further; as soon as I realized what I was looking at, I turned back around, and walked my bike out of the other entrance. I don't think either one of them saw me.
My memory has two components: the visual aspect, which is disturbing enough, and the aural aspect, which, to be frank, was disgusting. I don't want to dwell on it too much, but it sounded sort of like someone hitting the heavy bag while another person vigorously operated a toilet plunger.
