What is one huge bandwagon that you refuse to hop on?

Matter, I believe, it is the quality of something that makes a difference, that changes an unpleasant or unwanted outcome. I'm only saying that nothing matters from the perspective of living. What you do in your life is not going to change the one thing about life that is true for every single life: death. Existing is pointless because the one thing that matters - that you should be able to change - is the extent - continuation - of your life, which is the one thing that you cannot under any circumstances change. I mean, you can make it come sooner, or you later, but you cannot avoid, which would renders your existence an actual thing that you possess, that it's yours to manage how you wish. Our lives are not. They end regardless of our opinions about life or anything else for that matter.

In the context of enjoying life - and only in this context - people refers to "feeling better", no matter how subjective this concept is as being something that gives life meaning, purpose or even some sort of control. It doesn't. Suffering or having the best life ever, you are going to die. No matter what. Actually, knowing this, makes having the best life ever something of a bitter sweet. A very cruel paradox, if you will, if you suffer, your death won't make it better, but at least, you won't suffer. Not the death is a relief, you won't feel anything. Not existing is beyond our full comprehension, because existing is the only state in which we can recognize a concept. Death, as far as we know, destroys everything that you are. You literally disappear. The universe goes on, with its laws that state that nothing is ever destroyed, just transformed. Well, that's a lie, because you are someone and you will be destroyed. The person that is reading this will cease to exist forever in the entire universe and only the vessel will be here, which is kind of pointless if there is no life in it.

Now if you're lucky and have the very best life any human being has ever lived, death is going to take that away from you. And there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. You can feel better with that thought that at least you had a chance, sure, but that's not the only possible option. I mean, the universe is amazing filled of things I could never dream of. But the one thing that I can thing that could make everyone's life better simply doesn't exist? - eternal happiness.

That's cruel.
