What opinions/beliefs did you have as a new player that haven’t changed or have gotten stronger?

I really only play this for social aspect.

I joined a war gaming table cause I thought it was cool to flex my 10 years of "competitive" strategy gaming (which didn't transfer well into this game). Didn't really enjoyed high level dnd cause it gets pretty linear since some options are vastly better than others, but had a blast locking the bbegs with my martials inside a wall of force.

I joined a roleplaying table cause I watched crit role, and yeah, role playing is fun. But really, it's only so because I get to interact with my friend's characters and perform jokes for them.

I got invited to west march, but I don't have interest at all cause there's no friends there.
