I think there is a considerable difference between January 6th (a spasm of violent protest aimed squarely at the government) and the weeks of arson and looting this summer in the name of BLM that lead 20 plus deaths and billions of dollars in damage The reactions have also been wildly different, as there have been few prosecutions and little interest in prosecuting people who burned and looted neighborhoods across the country, and near infinite resources dedicated to tracking down anyone who was anywhere near the Capitol. I grew up in Minnesota, and went to school in Minneapolis. I've seen the burned out buildings. There are parts of the city that BLM has kept barricaded off still. When the VP goes and fundraises for the people who burned down buildings indiscriminately, but then is outraged by a single day of violence from the right there is a clear double standard.
