What do people waste money on that amazes you?

Engagement rings.

Honestly, they're such a fucking waste of money. I don't need to waste my hypothetical future fiancee's money on a fucking sparkly metal band.

Honestly, I've seen people honestly tell a woman who didn't have a fancy women shit like "that's all?" or getting this look of utter disappointment. Who cares? Why do you care?

Last time I checked, how much you love a person does not equate to how much money you spend on them. Instead of buying that fancy ring, here are some suggestions: -A vacation -Save for a future home -Save it for your wedding expenses -Save it for a present that your partner will actually use/like instead of just looking at it and being like 'wowowow It's so shiny." -Emergency savings

Seriously, would you rather have a spouse who bought you shiny things and never gave you any affection or a spouse that loved you with their entire heart but never bought jewelry for you?
