What do you think of people watching a scene?

Had a call of smoke alarm, but the people were not home, but the neighbors gathered like it was a show when we got there. We used our TICs but couldn't see anything so we had to break down the door bring the water tank and irons, but the crowd of people made it really difficult for me to move around. The chief and the police were telling people go get back, but they wouldn't listen and as I am not interior certified yet I had to go through this mob of people to get the irons and water to the interiors. I finally got everything there, and then I hung back with more water a k tool and some more irons. We had to force entry to the front door just to make sure. After it was declared safe, the police said we had to secure the front door, so my chief secured the front door and the only way out was a balcony. There was like 15-25 or so people crowding the whole area who were not listening, I am not even sure if they spoke english. After my Chief secured the door he had to climb down on a latter in which there was only one anchor person, the pack of people were between me and the ladder, and then the ladder wobbled and I had to run to help secure the ladder, while being blocked by people.

Also while the firefighters where forcing open the front door, when I was in the back with some irons and a water extinguisher making sure I paid attention, people kept coming up to me asking what happened and what we were doing. Now I get kids asking and I'd be more than happy to say what we are doing, maybe give them a tour of the truck when we are done, however this was angry foreign people.

It pissed me off, and I was not even tasked with much to do. I also had a guy say why don't the US firefighters have keys for the buildings, I said we have them for businesses but I doubt it would be constitutional to have them for apartments, he seemed pissed off and I could barely understand what he said. but he was yelling I think we were destroying the house.
