Christ this reminds me of a situation I got out of. Girl lost a tiny bit of weight and thought she underwent some amazing transformation and used that as an excuse to post revealing "motivational" stuff. All the supportive commenters were of course males, and supposedly dear "guy friends" I'd never heard of before would always come up in conversation. And of course, the new gym buddy who was so great turned out to be some dude she hooked up with in college who was just so gracious to put his day on hold so his schedule could coincide so he could spot her lifting. And of course, I was the bad guy for questioning intentions. Yeah fucking right.
