What piece of gear was a complete waste of $money$ for you?

Im not what you consider a "very large pack." I like 65 liter for an overall pack due to my active needs.

If you're comparing frameless 40 liter packs. this article says the pack youmentioned completely stripped is 23 oz or 652 grams for $135.

I dont think Zpacks make a true 40 liter. Here is a 38 liter that I feel is the closest. It's weighs 10.9 oz or 308 grams. It cost 250.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's a weight difference of 344 grams and a cost difference of $115. Honestly, a $115 to save 344 grams seems like a really great deal to me.

Zpacks also makes a Robic pack that weighs 12.6 oz or 358 grams and cost $199. You'd still save 294 grams for $65. Which to me still seems like a very good deal.
