What platform do you use for index fund investment?

Simplicity, Kernel and InvestNow (Total World Fund). While I like them all, none of them is perfect for me at present.

  • Simplicity: tax leakage, NZ venture capital exposure (which I would’ve opted out if possible), NZ bonds not technically passive (it’s just government bonds)
  • Kernel: lacking diversification compared to others IMO (120 companies making up over 82% in High Growth Fund), $5 monthly member fee once over $25,000 is invested (at $25,000, fees are roughly doubled, jumping from 0.25% to 0.49%)
  • Total World Fund (InvestNow): no option for currency hedging available, high transaction fees (0.5%) which I don’t mind but it won’t be suitable for say annual rebalancing as selling is also quite expensive. Smartshares ETFs available through the platform don’t support fractional units and are listed PIE instead of multi-rate PIE.

I may sound picky but I just want a very low-fee stock portfolio that is based on broad cap weighted indices (both international and domestic) and maybe a global aggregate bond fund (e.g. BNDW or AGGG).
