What was "politically correct" 10 years ago but isn't today?

More twenty years than ten, but it's absolutely STAGGERING how fast attitudes towards consent and children have changed. It's hard to believe nowadays there was ever a time when everyone wasn't constantly monitoring anyone working with kids for even the slightest suggestion of anything suspicious, it's such a given at this point we make jokes about the paranoia going too far the other way. But I'm only in my twenties, and I was grabbed and groped by a paediatrician as a kid and told by my mom and other adults that was just what doctors do and to let them. My mom is a great and incredibly protective mother, it's utterly incomprehensible now that she or any not terrible parent would allow an adult male doctor to innapropriately touch a seven year old girl without calling the police. But just fifteen years ago, it wasn't seen as assault or even that big of a deal.
