What Is “Pseudo AI”: Humans Disguised As Bots Because Manual Labor Is Cheap

This is why I have to laugh at people that smugly declare AI will replace low wage/unskilled/young people. There is no point to that, it will cost far more to build and maintain a robot/AI than it is to give people the pathetic scraps that labor is worth today.

No, the real value is in replacing doctors, lawyers, bankers, financial professionals and everyone else that isn't part of a protectionary elite guild. Well the high levels of all of those will probably be fine, but the vast majority of the rest will be disposed of, as the AI will be cheaper and easier to run and maintain.

It's not like there is anything special about the last century or so. Humans are still humans and the work is the same. Difference is union protections created some security and improved conditions, but that is eroding again just like it usually cycles down.
