What queen is a winner in your heart but didn't actually win. I'll start

Manila Luzon.

When the show was first starting, I was still in the closet. I'd had the 'this girl's definitely gay' label all my life, and I was so NERVOUS about coming out and making all those 'bad' rumors official.

Anyway, when Ru asked Manila what she'd bring to the table as the reigning Next Drag Superstar, Manila talked about how her family accepted her, and how important their support was to her. She'd clearly thought about her words, and wasn't trying to demean queens who've been rejected by their loved ones. But it was a really empowering speech for me at that time, that reminded me that I might not be rejected.

(Also her choice to play Imelda Marcos in Snatch Game provided an excellent excuse to trick Filipina adults into watching that show. "Oh, you like this funny queen? Well then, let's watch until the final episode then! Well whadaya know, it turns out that if you're supportive of queer kids, they'll appreciate it and become happier people. INTERESTING, HUH?")
