Again your logic is flawed, and is a product of your life in the US. I'm the child of russian immigrants, things can and do go to shit. It is possible that the violent members of each side DO clash in a way that demands you choose a side or be vulnerable to both parties. It is possible that totalitarianism rises on either side and DOES look to take away rights or crush opposition. To pretend otherwise is to put your head in the sand.

I do agree that it should not be condoned, but I don't agree that it is not a looming threat regardless of what the center does. Nazis were 12% of the population, the chinese communist party under Mao was a minority etc. etc.
