I love London and I have saved up over the past 2 years to be able to leave my job and move there with the security of not having a job straight away.

I've been visiting a lot lately and I've changed my mind. I really don't want to be paying London rent prices and I have grown frustrated with how busy it is all the time.

I still love London but it's just too much. I like my personal space so I would hate to share and that's the only realistic option unless you are willing to live further out (and face commuting crowds every day) or can stomach paying £1,500 a month to rent a 1 bed flat.

My friend lives with 2 other people in Brixton and her rent is £800 per month. That's almost £10,000 a year!
