What ribbons are easiest to get for first term airmen within their first year?

The OP is right. I don't know what's up with some people on this sub reddit. It's like they have a low IQ or something. At least on my base, you simply do not miss work if you volunteer a lot as volunteering opportunities usually take place after work hours. The volunteer opportunities that you part-take in during your duty hours are ones that were voluntold by your chain of command, i.e. PTL augmentee duty. 5 level is by no way something hard to attain.

Even as a 3 level, what you should be doing is volunteering because you have so much free time and so little responsibilities on your hand. In my shop, the 3 levels basically have to do their CDCs and the most basic things at the shop. The lazy ones are the ones who don't volunteer. Also, I'm going to say this again, when it comes to volunteering, the majority of the time, those things don't occur during duty hours. You can spend all day at your job and volunteer after duty hours. Even then, that still doesn't guarantee that you are a good troop in your shop. I know some people who come to work and do little to nothing, just sit and talk all day, then go home and don't do anything extra, i.e. volunteer, take classes etc.

It's funny how OP is getting hate. It's like this sub reddit is backwards. OP if you want, just google "air force ribbons" and you'll find tons of websites with links to each ribbon telling you how to achieve them.
