What romantic gesture did you feel bad rejecting?

A girl I was dating in university had always told me a story of how her friend's mom had proposed to her dad..she thought the reversal proposal was super cool. Maybe a year later she bought me a ring and asked me (kind of) to marry her. I said "you are too young to be married" and shrugged it off. Needless to say, things cooled between us and I really didn't understand why until I recalled her "proposal" story. Instead of breaking up with me, she moved away and let distance do the deed. We had always talked of marriage and I thought it was a done-deal. A pretty big whoops.

I am married to a beautiful, loving, strong, smart woman today...and I am sure the proposer is rocking it as well.

Oh, and it's my cake day. Dammit, 15 minutes late.
