What rule was changed because of ONE stupid person?

Again, I was using a very specific argument. I was not saying when someone is guessed to have stolen something. I deal with people stealing every day when I am at work. They blatantly have handfuls of things and walk out the door with the sensor alarms going off and everything, and I am not allowed to do anything about it. It makes me feel like a shitty human being because the more people steal, the higher management feels the need to raise prices to make up the lost profit.

I am not saying "Oh, that guy is black, so obviously he is stealing". I am saying "That black guy (or who the fuck ever) with the items in his hands as he is looking me dead in the eye as he walks out of the store, is stealing".

Go ahead and turn it into a slippery slope, but that wasn't what I was getting at.
