I once ran into an ex with my girlfriend (at the time) when going to get my registration for my car. Ex was excited to see me (we broke up on good terms), however the girlfriend I had at the time was very uncomfortable, as they had gone to school together when they were younger, and my ex was her bully. I learned of this after me and the girlfriend started dating, and ex noticed who I was with and kind of turned around and pulled out her phone to avoid continuing a conversation. I basically had to stand behind her in line of the DMV, for an entire hour, in complete silence as my girlfriend did not want to talk in front of my ex about anything, and my ex was staring at her phone after seeing us together, trying to avoid us. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable but also “in trouble” as that moment in my life.
