The best meal I’ve ever had technically never existed. During my senior year of college I was diagnosed with a rare cancer and had two grapefruit sized tumors in my large intestine. Due to the size of these tumors it was nearly impossible for me to eat more than a few bites of anything. By the time I had been diagnosed I had not eat in almost two months. After my eventual surgery while recovering in the hospital and still not able to eat I had one of the most vivid dreams I can recall.

I was sitting at a bar that had a conveyor belt full of BBQ ribs passing in front of me (basically like the kind in some sushi restaurants) and they were the best ribs I had ever had. I remember speeding up after the first bite and rapidly eating the meat cartoonishly in one bite, tossing the bones behind my back as I plowed through. I can still taste them to this day and nothing I have eaten since seems to come quite as close. Suffice to say it was a bit of a disappointment waking up to find that it was all a dream.
