IMO it's wishful thinking that they even exist. It's humans wishful thinking that have people caught up with the idea.

"But there are so many stars and galaxies that we can't be the only things out there"...Ummm this way of thinking works in the inverse too. It's just as likely or more likely that nothing exists in the physical universe.

We are such complex creatures who live on a complex planet and are only able to survive in narrow limits of air composition, heat, gravity, etc. that's it's a statical impossibility that we even exist.

It's like a pile of sand was thrown into the air and the grains landed as perfectly form sand castle. When things become a statistical impossibility, it's not chance for me. Again this is my opinion, so chill with the hating you have planned. It's just one guys opinion.
