What’s the dumbest thing your boss or coworker has ever said to you?

I'm currently a new hire at a job in a big company and this other new hire told me I only got offered a job because I met the "diverse women" quota. Goes on and on about how recruitment is usually August to October and then they check the stats of the new hires and if they didn't meet the expected number, they grab a new batch of just diverse people and that I was one of them. (She got her offer in October last year, I got mine early January)

She is from a different country and she was pissed that she couldn't recommend her friends because the 2019 recruitment was already full and she told me this.

She didn't mean it harshly but I was thinking wtf why would you even say that in an email?
