What’s the dumbest thing you’ve heard someone say that made you wonder how they function on a day to day basis?

Person thought that if you switched around the daylight savings times with each other that the daylight would actually get longer in the winter. I tried to explain that the daylight actually wouldn't get longer. Like there would still be the same amount of daylight, it would just occur at different times. She didn't believe me. She insisted I was wrong. The rest of the class looked at me like I was an alien about to take over their bodies. I even said it real slow so there was no confusion. You, think, that, there would be more actual total daylight in a 24 hour period if daylight savings was moved around? Yep. Part of me is really hoping she was thinking about it wrong. Like she was just thinking she would actually get to experience more daylight, but...I dunno...I couldn't break it down any simpler and she still got it wrong. I dunno what was up with the rest of the class. I wanted to go lick their foreheads to see if they would act appropriately or just hand me their wallets and smile.
