Our deployment schedule is a mess, despite months of work. We have a vendor that we work with, and the product requires a lot of work due to defects, enhancements, etc. We keep trying to implement a deployment schedule, sprint planning, and efficient ticket management with the vendor but there is zero accountability. Tickets take months to even be looked at sometimes, and years to complete in many instances. Many times when we have a defect, they will analyze and say things like “the product is working as designed.” Like no shit. It seems like we’re making progress for a second but then we end up right back where we started. Unfortunately there are years left on the contract and no SLAs in place. We’re at the point where we’re doing their sprint planning, and we’re only scheduling one deployment at a time.
